Once you have placed your order this will be followed up with an automated confirmation email.
After we have confirmed your order we will then send you a separate email with an attachment requesting details of your project.
Once you have filled out the questionnaire, email this back to us by replying to the email we sent you. Please also remember to attach all the project specific documents you want us to incorporate into the contract. If for any reason you can't upload all of the documents via email simply upload these to wetransfer and send us the link.
Once we have reviewed all your project specific documents and don't have any further questions we will get to work. At this stage we would have already started your draft copy and we will email this to you once complete for you to review. You can ask us at this stage to make as many changes as you like before we produce the final version.
Once your contract is ready we will email this to you in a PDF format. You will need to print out two copies for you and your builder to sign at the same time. Once the documents have been signed you keep one copy and hand the other signed copy over to your builder. Full signing instructions will be sent to you.
We will aim to turnaround all contracts within 2 working days, sometime we might need an extra day due to high demand. Orders placed over the weekend will be acknowledged on the next working day. If you have requested hard copies we will email you an electronic version of your contract once its complete but you will need to allow a total of 3-4 days to receive the hard copies via post.
Yes we can accommodate a next day service for small additional fee. Please ensure to select this during the online order process.
We use JCT Homeowner contracts which are industry recognised for all our homeowner contracts. Each contract order we receive My Builder Contract will purchase a copy of this contract on your behalf. All other documents which will be incorporated into the contract will be produced by My Builder Contract.
Yes we can also populate a JCT Minor works contracts for commercial properties or produce contracts for new build properties. Please contact us to discuss your contract requirements.
We will ask you to send us all the project specific design information such as drawings, specifications, specialist reports, any email correspondence you feel should be incorporated into the contract. We will also ask you to provide a copy of the agreed quotation which details the agreed price. We will also require your builders contact details and copies of his insurance policies.

The reason for the scale of charges is that the higher the value of a contract the more time it will take us to produce a well written robust contract as there will be more design information such as specifications,specialist reports and drawings to trawl through to ensure the scope is well captured within the contract documents.
